Came to DC to attend Howard University in '76. and never left. Met my husband and the love of my life in dc he was a native Washingtonian. He introduced me to the Shrimp Boat on Benning Road, Ben's Chili Bowl, Adam's Morgan Day, The Carter Barron Amphitheater,Rock Creek Park,shopping in Georgetown,free concerts in Fort Dupont Park, Eastern Market on Saturdays and so many other places. Marion Barry, "Mayor for Life" lived around the corner from my husband's parents in Fairfax Village in SE DC it truly was Chocolate City then! I miss my husband and all the fun times we had, I will always love DC.🥰🥰
