Yeah, there is no justice. That was a big one for me to overcome.

It's also impossible for anyone who hasn't experienced it to understand. Trying to explain to the most trusted people in my life has been a real challenge. I hate it here 😭

Your pain is valid, even without an apology. Trusting your reality is how you reclaim your power. You've got this.

Yeah one thing that helped me to deal with it was when I heard someone saying that their brain is hardwired to prevent them from changing. That with experience of repeating the abuse cycle made me realize justice and understanding isn’t coming

Is this why I have such a sensitivity to injustice? Bc of the narcissistic abuse I’ve experienced? I’ve always just claimed I have a justice sensitivity but never understood why.. bc my whole life people have been dodging accountability as well as my feelings and I’ve just held the weight of it all.

Looking back on it, this explains the Batman obsession. “I am vengeance.” Vengeance : punishment inflicted in retaliation for an injury or offense : RETRIBUTION

OK, you explained it, but how do we move past it because literally you described my exact relationship with my mother she will never see my pain. I will never get her to see my pain, but how do I move on? I hear my therapist and I are working on it, but I really like what you have to say I even shared you with one of my closest friends because I think you’re kind. I just wanna know what do we do if we can’t get them to see it.

Biggest justice for me is leaving for good. Because experiencing narcissistic abuse will make you be so grateful when things end.

The best thing I did was the leave the group that was doing the invalidating. And guess what they did as soon as I left? Invited my abuser to take my seat. Since then, I’ve been mentally so much better. So please please please, if you can, stop being around the people invalidating what you’ve gone through. 😭

I’ve feel like we heal in segments not all at once. It’s a gradual process of grieving the things that come up to the surface. I’m in more acceptance now than I was ten years ago but I still get activated sometimes
