Feeding animals from your hand does not break your wudu. Ablution is only nullified by specific actions like using the restroom, deep sleep, or eating camel meat, and not by touching, petting, or feeding animals. However, there are a few important rules to consider depending on the animal:General Rule: You can safely feed birds, cats, and other animals whose meat is permissible to consume without any impact on your state of purity. In fact, feeding animals is considered a highly rewarding act of charity (Sadaqah). The Exception (Dogs): Touching a dog or feeding it directly does not break your wudu. However, if the animal's saliva touches your hands or clothing, the area is considered impure (najas). You will need to wash the affected area before you can perform prayer (salah). The Process of Cleansing: If you are licked by a dog, Islamic jurisprudence (such as in the Shafi'i and Hanbali schools) typically requires washing the spot seven times, with the first wash—or one of the washes—being done with soap or clean soil.
