You guys are oversimplifying Twilight. Saying, “Twilight literally said she couldn’t defeat Starlight with her magic,” without the context is misleading. Twilight realized that using more magic wasn’t going to solve the problem because Starlight would just keep fighting. That’s why she stopped trying to overpower her and chose to understand her instead. The conflict was never just about who had more raw power—it was about getting Starlight to let go of her hatred. Twilight herself says, “My magic couldn’t stop her. I had to convince her to stop on her own.” That’s different from saying, “Starlight is stronger than me.” The show never officially confirms that one of them is more powerful overall, so acting like that line settles the debate is oversimplifying what actually happened.

she’s the strongest alicorn because 1. It’s very obvious she limits her power and try’s but to use her full potential 2. When she absorbed cadences, lunas and celestials magic her mane didn’t flow like it does with lunas and celestials because a alicorns mane flows when there is to much magic present that’s why there mane flows but if your wondering why cadences doesn’t do that it because her magic comes from the crystal heart not herself so when twilight absorbed all there power and her mane didn’t flow like there’s it because there wasn’t an overflow of magic meaning twilight is the strongest alicorn

guys friendship is the strongest magic in mlp universe, twilight is the princess of friendship and the embodimeng of magic itself, she is the strongest but at some point of the show the writers just decided giving a lot of power to starlight without any justification and giving NO SENSE AT ALL, mind you they made starlight cappable of changing cutiemarks when earlier in the show it is crealy said that using pony magic to alter cutiemarks is impossible (ofc other things can alter cutie marks as seen in the episode when apple bloom gets a lot of cutie marks) in the late show they basically didn't gave a f about the logic in that universw so they made starlight powerful, the thing is that if we follow the original (and logical) logic of magic of that universw twilight is more powerful since like i said and said on the video she is not only the princess of friendship (the most powerful magic) she is quite literally the embodiment of magic. Sorry ik it is a lot of text but i am bored and i like to overexplain things lol and srry if i had a bad english while writing it isn't my native language so i had to search some words

No one is saying starlight is weak here, but the only reason twilight couldn’t “beat” starlight was because it was physically impossible every time she’d try and use her magic she’s get teleported back so she had no choice but to try and talk it out with starlight. Stop using that as an excuse bc u can’t accept that twilight is stronger. (Starlight is still amazingly strong! Don’t jump me. But some of you just take the scene out of context🤍)
