A properly fitted and laced corset is so comfortable and supportive. You don't even have to tight lace like they did in the video.

if you're willing, could you explain how you know this corset is too small? i make historical corsets for fun and thought a 2-3 inch gap in the back was ideal (straight up and down of course)? this is a genuine question because fitting is one of the more confusing parts of drafting my own using historical methods.

I think the problem is standard sized corsets. There’s no way it actually fits all the different measurements that people have. For the waist she might even need it a bit bigger while the ribcage and the hips have to be way smaller

As a guy, I even knew that was wrong. But it's it wrong that I know how to lace up a corset and that it should be as straight vertically as possible on each side of eyelets. The boning should be doing the shape work, not your lacing.
