@open.garage7: The Porsche 911 Carrera S (991.1) debuted in 2012 and remained in production until 2016. It was the last naturally aspirated Carrera before the 991.2 generation switched to turbocharged engines. Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six, it produced 400 horsepower and could sprint from 0–60 mph in just under 4 seconds with the PDK transmission. This generation strikes a balance between everyday usability and sports car performance. My first impression was that driving any 911 feels different because the engine is mounted in the rear. The car feels very balanced and confidence-inspiring. However, after the 996 generation, the 911 has gained a reputation for becoming more of a GT car, and that was evident in this one. It is practical, comfortable, and feels bigger while also being lively, loud, and fun both through corners and in a straight line. This particular car was equipped with Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission. While I usually prefer manual cars because they are more engaging, the PDK was surprisingly fun. The shifts are incredibly quick, and they made the car feel just as exciting to drive. Would you buy the manual or PDK? #Porsche911 #991CarreraS #Porsche #CarReview #SportsCars
