"didnt you go before the class started?" Yes but i also drank a lot of water in recess and water goes pretty fast through your body sooo whats your point? Or no because i didnt need to, or i couldnt because the bathroom was full and the class started before i could go. why ask? so students feel bad/dont ask anymore and instead hold it in which is unhealthy?

Except when the student has a 504 you technically cannot say no especially if that is part of their 504 plan.

In our high school almost every professor told us to leave the class as we pleased but not to disturb them during the lesson. When I was teaching in summer school I made the same rule because I realized how annoying it is when children interrupt your explanation

When they need to go to the bathroom every period, I tell them that they can go to the nurse. If they need to go that often it's a medical issue that we need to call home about. Oddly enough they can hold it.

I stopped going to the restroom on 1st grade, and now I don't go unless completely necessary. We were only allowed to go 3 times during the whole school day (not including recess), at that period of time, I was also being bullied. Once, I peed on myself because I was too scared of going to the bathroom. That stuck with me till this day. I WAS 6 YEARS OLD. WHY DID WE EXPECT CHILDS THAT YOUNG TO HOLD THAT MUCH. I CAN HOLD OVER 8 HOURS DRINKING MORE THAN A LITTER OF WATER AINCE I WAS 6
