you could ask your landlord about ending the tenancy now and paying a fee. we gave the 2 months notice but said it could be earlier and they said that’s fine but it comes at a cost. they told us £200 to end the tenancy early xx

I am currently in the process of moving too and we dont have to give to months notice! its the landlord that has to give the tenants two months, not the other way around. I thought the exact same but my landlord said it is still one month. I would talk to them

I mean in your case it didn’t need to be so expensive. It’s madness to pay so much money to decorate a house that isn’t yours for life (council) or owned. You’re basically paying the owner to rent and then paying to upgrade the house that you’ll get no benefit out of. It’s madness.

It’s all changed in march you only have to give one month notice as they brought in that private rent goes on to a one month rolling contract so you shouldn’t have to give 2 months notice at all I would check that
