Save this for a flatter lower stomach ✨ After more than 20 years teaching Pilates and working with runway models, this is still one of my go-to deep core sequences for building a stronger core and creating a tighter waist. Placing the foam roller beneath the pelvis encourages a more neutral position, allowing the transverse abdominis (TA), your body’s natural internal corset, to switch on more effectively. As your TA gets stronger, it supports the spine, improves pelvic stability and gently draws the waist inward from the inside out. That’s why I always focus on deep core strength before chasing endless crunches. A stronger core doesn’t just look better, it functions better too. 🤎 Try this: ✨ Big Star x15 ✨ Dead Bug x15 ✨ Half Circle x15 🔥 Complete 4 rounds. If you’re new to using a foam roller, check out my linked “Part 2” reel where I show you exactly where to position it under your pelvis. I’m using 1kg (2.2lb) ankle weights and 1kg hand weights, but you can absolutely perform this sequence using just your bodyweight and still feel an incredible burn. Move slowly, keep your ribs softly connected, maintain a neutral pelvis and exhale fully through each repetition to maximise deep core activation.
