Not only should he be caring for her and the kids, but he should also cancel at least the first concert to make sure she and the family are taken care of!

when my grandmother had pneumonia, her husband (remarried after my grandfather died) asked her to go make him a bowl of ice cream. my grandmother started to get up and my aunt yelled at him and told him to get it himself. it never occurred to him.

One of the lines I've heard that sticks with me the most 'you're not competing with a different partner, you're competing with my happiness when I'm alone'. If you're not better than being alone, there's no point.

I broke my ankle in 3 places on June 4. Since then all care of my adult disabled daughter has been on him while he works full time also. I'm pretty much in bed 24/7 (I get up twice a day to feed her while he's at work, everything else is him).
I am so blessed!

I get that he was home while she was at the ER to be with the kids but why do I get the feeling he wouldn’t have even been with her if there were no kids to look after.

I had the flu at roughly 4-5 months pp. Guess who did all of the childcare for our infant? Her daddy. I cried so much cause all I wanted was to be with my baby, but we both knew I couldn’t risk getting her sick. He did everything for both of us

When I was going through severe depression my husband literally would carry me to our shower, wash my body and hair for me, helped me brush my teeth, towel dried me, brushed my hair, put my pajamas on and carried me back to our bed. The epitome of “if he wanted to he would”. Been together almost 15 years and that man gives me a new reason to love him every single day 🖤

Was at a doctors appointment and was talking about everything going on and she looked at me and asked “who’s taking care of you?” I said simply “you”

weaponized incompetency that's it lazy man don't know if you allowed it or if his mama made him that way! w my disabilities i a lot of times overdo even w teenagers that can do for themselves. im lucky Nick is firm w me and telling me go rest and he handles it!!!! makes me dinner over the phone so he can get the recipe correct especially if he has questions. I am so lucky that I have a nose that I can smell from downstairs what needs to go in or when it's done I believe it's a gift I don't set timers. and that frustrates him when he asks well how long I don't know till it's done LOL I am so blessed I have been through hell and back with past partners and I am blessed that God has given me another chance to have a wonderful human that understands he helps when I need it he lets me do when I can but he's always on guard and has my best interest always in mind

I suffer from debilitating migraines and my hubs takes care of EVERYTHING when I’m closed in our room in completely darkness. Doesn’t bother me unless asking if he can help with anything, and still through text to make sure he isn’t bothering me ❤️

My Dad was part of the Greatest Generation (WWII vet), and he always tried to take care of our Mom when she was sick. He wasn't good at it, but he tried. He also took care of me and my three older sisters as well when she was sick, that he knew how to do.

I had a severe chest infection when our baby was only 2 months old and my husband wouldn’t take the day off to look after our baby. I had to call my mother to come help. This started a toxic pattern of me not caring when my husband felt sick. We’ve since been to therapy and worked through our issues but that was a rough time.
