I was training someone at work and it was so slow maybe 2 customers by 1pm and nobody wanted to be cut so I turned to my trainee and said watch this and I went and rang in some food for myself and loudly went "Man I can't wait to eat this while it's still warm" and before my food was even done cooking we were slammed

I used to work at a bbq place and when we were slow and needed customers they would tell me to go get a snack. we were allowed one side per shift and without fail if I went to eat we'd get slammed. I'm fact we tested it when there were no customers outside and as soon as I dropped some fries in the oil a dang bus showed up
