I split my rent in half and I immediately take out half of my rent money when I get paid. And I split my car insurance and credit card in half too

YALL I SWEAR BY THIS OMGG 🙌🏽🙌🏽 she literally taught me how to do this two summer’s ago and i have been LOVING this method. I’m a server so my income can be inconsistent at times but once you get a month ahead on your bills AND implement this method, you will be sailing smoothly and a lot will be taken off your mind. 🥰

ok so idk what im doing wrong but every time i try to put $ aside something happens 😅 i literally put $900 aside for savings and then my car wouldnt start and i had to use it to replace battery and get new tires....then i trued again and my cat knicked my computer off the table and the screen shattered had to het a new computer for the household

Someone here mentioned only getting paid once a month — that was me at my first job and it's genuinely harder. What worked for me was doing the whole split the same day the money landed: each big bill's slice went into its own pot immediately, so week-3 me couldn't spend rent-me's money. The "work up to it" part you wrote on the notebook is real, it took me a few months to get a full bill ahead.
