@runthisshit8: On August 28, 2015, a pilot was practicing his routine for the New York Air Show at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York. About five minutes into the flight, while climbing through a 45-degree upline and beginning a left aileron roll, the tail section suddenly separated from the Giles G202. The airplane became uncontrollable and crashed. The pilot did not survive. The NTSB determined that the tail separated because of poor bond strength in a critical structural joint, likely dating back to the airplane's original construction. The failure occurred during aerobatic flight, leading to the in-flight breakup. Footage: NTSB ERA15FA331 #GilesG202 #Airshow #AviationSafety #AvGeek #RunThisShit

Hope the company that built it paid up to the family, if it was a defect from its build date.

it's nearly impossible to bail unless you have control to climb and unstrap and then roll inverted to push out. otherwise your under constant g load, combined with a lot of confusion.
