Not at all. When 100% of graduating seniors take the test vs 3%, you are guaranteed to have higher scores with the 3%.

Scored a perfect 36 in the early 80s and got a Michigan Competitive Scholarship, full tuition with a stipend for books. Graduated debt free.

SAT is used more in the Northeast and West Coast, ACT is used more in the Southeast, Midwest and Rocky Mountain west.

Years ago, I hit 27 on the ACT, but it was relatively new. I then hit 100 on the ASVAB. At the time, it was recommended that I take the ACT over the SAT. I'm not sure why

When you test more students your average is lo. Many states push taking ACT. Othr let th kid take it as needed. Your smarter kids going to college take it.
