@addairsfarmhouse: If you grew up in Appalachia, there’s a good chance you’ve had these… and if you didn’t, you’re probably about to think we’ve lost our minds. 😂 Today on Raised On This, we’re making cornbread fritters! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and one of those simple recipes that reminds me just how creative folks were with what they had. We decided to try @MEGHAN LYNN’s fritter rings and let me tell you… they didn’t disappoint! Be sure to go give her some love. ❤️ Now I’ve got to know… Were you raised on cornbread fritters, or is this your first time hearing about them? #RaisedOnThis #AddairsFarmhouse #AppalachianFood #Cornbread #SouthernCooking
Have you ever made Mexican cornbread? Love my moms so cheesy and good I make it too but moms is always the best to me

I live in Texas and my mother made these all of my life. Ours were shaped like pones. No holes, but she always used white corn meal. They were called hot water cornbread and sometimes she put pork crackins in them. She served them with a mixture ofstewed apricots and peaches. The bottoms were real tough but oh so good!

Kinda like a cornbread doughnut! Never heard of them but looks delicious! Wonder how they’d be with jalapeños and cheddar cheese?

you should try lacey corn bread. like cornbread thin enough for crepes then fried cruspy. it leaves little holes everywhere.

Looks yummy! I will try it! I make what we call fried cornbread. It’s meal, egg & milk. Make a batter and spoon into hot grease like a smaller pancake. Let brown then flip to brown on the other side.
