@samuelwhytegh: Imagine cargo trains moving goods, containers, and heavy equipment from Accra to the Ashanti, Eastern, Central, Volta, Western, Northern, and Bono Regions. Freight rail would boost economic growth, reduce overloaded trucks on our highways, ease congestion, lower road maintenance costs, cut emissions, and help prevent crashes caused by heavy-duty vehicles. This won’t take jobs from truck drivers. Trucks will still be essential for transporting cargo from rail terminals and ports to their final destinations.
