@bodybreakerofficial: One of my favorite parts of our Shared Session flexibility weeks is watching dancers refine the small details that create the biggest improvements. Here is Belle demonstrating one of my favorite needle training exercises. This movement challenges balance, control, and supported extension while reinforcing proper alignment from the standing leg all the way through the lifted leg. One of the most common mistakes I see is a needle that becomes over rotated or twisted to one side. While it may appear higher, it often creates muscular imbalances and instability. Our goal is to develop strength and alignment so every degree of flexibility is controlled, repeatable, and safe. We are also using our BodyTech Red Straddle Band, one of the most versatile tools in our training system. Although it was designed to improve straddles and hip mobility, it can also be used for countless strength, flexibility, stability, and extension exercises, making it one of my favorite pieces of equipment for dancers of every level.
