20mm conduit for lighting and 25mm conduit for sockets for me. easier for adjusting circuits in the future

Chase deep enough and it won't crack. If Im not filling chases oval is a must. Ive had spreaders damage my cables before

🤔 50mm deep no under that you need mechanical protection and that is in the regs but as some have said the regs are only guild lines until something happens and goes to court.

in my experience if you put capping/conduit in yes it protects the cable to a certain extent but any screw goes into wall will be drawn into cable just seen it too many times

No capping because the plaster doesn’t really stick to the capping plus 9 times out of 10 the capping protrudes the chase

Chase the channel deep enough so he plaster isn’t too thin. Yes, capping is always the best option.

the reason for capping was when plastering they could cut the insulation on the cable that is why we use it , when walls are dry lined no need for capping, make the chase deep then it would not be tight and crack only my thoughts

It's safer to put all cables in conduit or capping that way you replace cables if need be.🙃🙃
