ngl Ive had the digital ps5 since 2020, I know its only been 6 years but there wasnt a single time when I went "golly gee I really wish I had the disc version of this game." buying games on the marketplace is 100% an improvement over going to a brick and motar to get a game. New games I can pre download too, so the moment they drop i can start playing. rather than go get said game, download it and have to wait for it to finish before I can actually play.

i’ve had my digital ps5 since early 2021 and honestly i like it way more than a disk version, digital is way more convenient for me and it allows me to pre download my games and if i go somewhere i don’t have to carry a bunch of discs. besides collectors editions for like the last of us there hasn’t been a game where i wish i had a disk copy

I love buying physical. But let's be real if people were still buying physical then stores like GameStop would still be thriving (and wouldn't have to pivot their model). We already let physical games for PCs to die out. I guess it was only a matter of time.
