Is it big? Yes. Do I hope you love it? Also yes! Also glad you can open your appliances and it's easy to move. That was my main concern after living temporarily somewhere that you couldn't open stuff all the way.

It’s nice and it’s yours. But still too big. It should line up with your counter edge so it doesn’t cut into the ‘hallway’ by your couch- then it is too close to the fridge.

The island isn't too large from a functional standpoint; it's too large from a proportional standpoint. The room technically accommodates it, but it dominates the space rather than complementing it. It's like wearing a winter parka that technically fits your body, but it's so bulky that it overwhelms your frame.

We said it was too big because you said you wouldn’t be able to fully open all the appliances. Since you can, if it doesn’t take up too much of the rest of your space to your liking, it’s great.
