I think the only reason people don't want to work is related to HAVING TO work just to survive. so you have to work a job you don't like, therefore getting negative associations with "work". if you didn't have to work, I'd wager a lot of people would start working jobs they like instead of just sitting at home.

yeah but if no one does work, who's keeping things running? we all want to do no work and get all benefits and live a chill life but given the world we're living in, if we all stopped working then we'd softly collapse (we'd live off the essential stuff and no technology but it would take awhile). if people do work, wouldn't it make sense that the person working harder should receive more reward? I get the complaints about late stage capitalism but I never see anyone who likes socialism or communism unbiasedly point out any flaws of either communism or socialism and act like it's perfect with no flaws which is suspicious

the main problem people have with it are also lies because everyone is paid according to what they contribute and according to their need, its a system of equity. the "no iphone" argument is also quite not true because the only thing that changes is that no specific person owns capital, the folk owns it, phones would still exist

Man I do actually want to work but I want to have that be excess income that I can spend on anything, not just survival. I don't want to be a wage slave, I want to buy a damn new computer after my last one busted and not wonder if I can pay rent.
