They presuppose more data equals being right. They fail to realize data doesn’t speak. Data is interpreted by worldviews. The data can be interpreted in different ways. We believe they are backwards. So the only logical step is to question their worldview and see who’s is logical and who’s isn’t.

Straight up. We should have grown past the need to the Hocus pocus of religion. But people keep falling for it because of the indoctrination and fear. The fear of death or the unknown is so primal and innate so it’s easily exploited for power

It’s inaccurate to say religion is believing backwards. In many ways, traditions like Buddhism or Daoism can be seen as forward because they’re about practicing transforming your encounter reality. Religions aren’t one thing unless you are speaking about dogmatic, detached versions that want to maintain power instead of practicing cultivation of harmony and belonging. You can reject religions but you should live them before making statements about them
