These days I find myself explaining to my coworkers that good work relation doesn't mean friendship. I have a fairly good work relation with my colleagues. I can call and ask for help, and I am willing to help if I can. But some persons automatically assume I've built a friendship. I don't really have friends at work, but I have some really good colleagues who I'll happily look out for at work.

Exactly. I’m really grateful my closest friends at work are the same friends I had before we even started working. It makes such a difference knowing the friendships are genuine and not just based on the job and I met some at my previous job and we’re still close up to this day.
