Sadly You are correct. I manage two RV parks in Texas however I do not go by the 10 year rule. I just ask that your RV be well maintained and not have a house front door attached where your RV door should be lol

I have a 2008 Monaco Rip tide that was stored brand new until 2019 I bought it from a guy who got it from storage used it for two or three trips with 1,800 miles in 2020 only Has 19,000 now and still looks great I will take my money elsewhere smh

That’s true, but also I believe that RV dealers might or might not Pay the RV parks for that rule to exist so that people go and buy newer RVs because they know they cannot stay in those RV parks with the older RV

I’m currently at a rv “resort” and they definitely don’t have the 10 year rule here. The don’t even have a “wash your rv before you arrive here” rule. And the place is packed. Nobody cares what your rv looks like.

I've run into that in my travels. I like the older looking trailers and rvs? I drive a 1996 class A fresh paint drives great 2 pop outs? I'll send a Pic sometimes but if to two them 1996 then they say no way!! it's a bull shit rule!! I agree!!

I’ve worked in the rv industry for 25 years. Most hard working, just average folks just like me finance their rv and most of them go the max of 12 years. So by the time they have worked hard and paid the rv off they face this crap. Bottom line don’t spend your money when the park has this rule. There is always another park somewhere close that is happy to accommodate your older coach

every 9 years get a rebuild title, that makes your rv brand new on paper. you tell the dmv you rebuilt it and they send you for an inspection then you get a new title dated this year.
