If the light was yellow and the cop passed the line the cam driver would be in the wrong… but it clearly shows the light turned red before the cop passed the stop line so the cop ran the red, cam driver was just clearing the intersection.

I swear every cops favorite line when they know they are in the wrong is “You don’t know/educate yourself on the law, have a nice day/you’re free to go.” A badge doesn’t mean you know more than someone.

The driver is in the right 100% however for cases like this is best to just let the person going straight pass or stop at the light first and then go

If you have entered the intersection on a yellow, it is legal and you can continue through. We can plainly see on the video, the cop car was behind the line when the light was red. The cop entered the intersection illegally and this should be brought to the attention of the patrol supervisor.

cop should've waited for him, it turned yellow then red on the cop and they saw it turning while approaching the intersection, the driver was already in, and its a first car, he needs to leave the intersection asap, the cop can't do nothing but to wait.

Both at fault. POV technically had right of way but cop was still proceeding through the intersection. Just because you have the right of way doesn’t mean you can just almost cause an accident
