@ellaktric: I use a conditioner to detangle my hair first, always! because it does what it says on the bottle and has great slip, so I remove shed hair first with conditioner and a wide tooth comb. This takes about 20 minutes. Then I shampoo my hair in chunky twists to avoid any new tangles or knots but I’ll undo them to run the shampoo over my strands and then rinse them (if your hair is short you can put hair clips on the ends). This takes 10 minutes. Then after I finsh with my shower I’ll apply a creamy leave in and do chunky twists to retain as much moisture and hydration; hair that is safely tucked away can’t break off or tangle so I retain length this way #washday #type4hair #4c
