Hot take from someone who went to art school- learn to build and stretch your own canvases (folding the corners is a bit tricky but a lot like wrapping holiday gifts) - then gesso and sand 2x (or more!) - it’ll end up looking higher quality simply from that :))

So we use a spray Gesso. Do you know if there’s like a huge difference in that, they’ve worked for me so far but if the paint one where you’re rolling it on the canvas gives you better results than I’d rather do that. It just adds a little more steps.

Paint roller= genious! So glad I saw this! I have a hard time seeing where I already applied gesso with a brush and using a brush I can’t remember where I just applied it
