FYI: it’s not closing forever. They’re redoing the scenes. They’re adding a Walt Disney animatronic to the first scene. Then the decades are going to be the 60’s, 80’s , 99/2000, and the future. We’ll still have the characters 🥰🥰

Honestly I’m super disappointed they’re changing it. Because they’re changing it to the 60’s to modern. Which defeats the point. The ride isn’t just, “ooo! Nostalgia retro!”. The ride is about the progression of technology. So starting in the 60’s which I’d like halfway through that timeline ruins the whole point

I’ve never been able to experience the Carousel of progress but I do want to say losing the early 1900’s time frame is a travesty. Going in 20 year intervals is missing the true examples of progress. They should go every 40 years starting where it starts now. The true contrast of changing technology would be better exemplified. But this is just an opinion of someone watching from the outside.

My grandparents went and saw it debut at the world fair. When I first rode this as an adult, I cried at the wonder they must have felt watching it for the first time
