A video I never thought I’d make as a medical mom influencer: how to prepare to solo-parent my disabled toddler while my husband goes to jail for possession of CSAM. Don’t worry—Lydia’s safe. Things have been especially tough behind the scenes lately. Between figuring out how to do all this alone and dealing with a relentless harassment campaign by another medical mom influencer—with an arrest record for harassing someone else—my anxiety has been on overdrive. But the past few weeks I’ve been taking as many steps as I can to get us set up, and I think Lydia and I are as ready as we can be for this next chapter. I know not everyone understands or agrees with the decisions I’ve made, and at some point I will be ready to share more context about what happened with Lydia’s dad (and why he wasn’t deemed a risk to her). But for those of you who continued to stay in our corner, I can’t tell you enough how much your encouragement has meant. P.S. I wasn’t in a place to film this on camera, please excuse the voiceover instead. 😞
