Great video! Keep going same topic. Since you’re speaking about finances, the Bible, and Joseph, something that I realized last year: 1. Joseph’s advice was phenomenal for the pharaoh of Egypt and Joseph’s family and the priests of the Egyptian pharaoh but everyone else was totally wrecked and bankrupted… partially because of their own undoing but also because of Joseph’s plan. First, they purchased that 20% from the farmers and then in full knowledge of the seven years of upcoming famine, sold it back to them. They could’ve gathered(taxed) and gifted. Of course the farmers lived big during the surplus, but they didn’t save enough to last the famine and ended up not only spending all of their money by the fifth year, but also in the end of the famine had sold off all of their business assets (livestock), and eventually land, so that the only landowners at the end of the famine or pharaoh, the priests, and Joseph’s family. 2. Joseph’s family was given Noble status to partake in the savings of the famine but did not pay into it at all and it wasn’t only the direct relatives of Joseph that arrived but upwards of 150 families potentially alongside his father as herdsmen; all of the descendants of Abraham plus their households and servants minus the Ishmaelites, of course. 3. No wonder when we get to Moses there was a whole new pharaoh unrelated to the Joseph pharaoh, and Joseph’s family and descendants had completely fallen out a favor, and seemingly logically all of their assets had been distributed back to the general population.
