I’m type 2 and am not obese. I had gestational diabetes and it turned to type 2. But my body doesn’t react to oral meds, only insulin. They thought it was LASA but I don’t have the antibodies. Type 2 can look different for everyone. Type 2 they say is curable, but even after losing the weight and watching my diet I need diabetic meds. Mounjaro has worked for me and I’ve been off insulin for 3yrs. But if I miss one dose my sugar go haywire.

Thank you for educating… Both my mom and grandma were late adult onset type 1 … Everyone likes I think they’re type 2… or they don’t understand the difference.

Type two is hereditary you can lower your risk of getting but it usually runs in your family
