A lot of the time, it’s not because a staffing agency doesn’t like someone. Agencies look for key factors because every employee they send out is a representation of their business. Their clients are paying for a service, and it’s their responsibility to provide employees who represent the agency professionally. Nowadays, many people walk into staffing agencies wearing sweats, looking like they just rolled out of bed and Pijamas. Even if you’re applying through an agency, it’s important to make an effort to look put together. First impressions matter. The same goes for attitude. If someone comes in with a bad attitude and expects to be sent out to work, it’s unlikely to happen. If they treat the agency that way, there’s a good chance they’ll treat the client the same way. At the end of the day, clients are paying for a service, and just like anyone expects a service to be fulfilled when they’re paying for it, clients expect the same. That’s why agencies focus on sending employees who will represent both themselves and the agency well. At the same time, an agency’s responsibility isn’t only to its clients it’s also to its employees. If a client is treating employees unfairly or disrespectfully, it’s the agency’s job to step in and advocate for them. Staffing agencies have a business because of both their clients and their employees. A good agency understands that respect goes both ways and works to protect both sides.

I always do staffing agencies they are great I use them when I was waiting for the job that I wanted to call me and I did a great job there they wanted me to stay but the job I wanted paid a lot so when I left there were unhappy because they wanted to keep me I kept going to them because I was not going to be sitting at home without a job something coming in to help me on my difficult time they really helped me a lot and I've always said go to staffing agency they really help people and I'm grateful for them

I’ve worked thru and at an agency. If you aren’t hired on after completion of hours they will not hire you. A lot of the times it’s an assignment until completion. I always reassured my workers I placed that it was never a permanent job. And working at an agency I would always create my lists and go off orders to place my applicants. Our clients sometimes just needed a person a day or two maybe two weeks when work would pick up. I can honestly say I went above and beyond because all I had was my work ethic and word. And if I knew another agency had work I would refer them over. I left the industry over a year ago and now that I’m looking there’s no work 🤷🏻‍♀️. When my workers found out I left they started calling me to see where I went because they where coming with me and that spoke volumes to me that I made an impact and helped them get jobs.

Yesss I totally agree!! I was a Recruiter for two different Staffing agencies in the IE! I actually love helping people find work but it’s the people in the office! What you said is facts! So true cause I experienced it myself just as a recruiter.

People don’t understand that’s you’re interviewing even for an agency. People should act like it. Agencies get paid by the company “client” to bring in quality people not to find people jobs.

True, I worked for an agency Older men who walked in early in the morning every single day would not get a position, in my training I was told to just tell them there was nothing available. I quit that same week.

I WORKED FOR 3 Staffing AGENCIES I HAD MY OWN AGENCY FROM WAREHOUSE POSITIONS TO PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS YOU HAVE TO REALLY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE IF YOU DONT THEN KEEP STEPPING ITS A BETTER FEELING KNOWING YOU HELPED SOMEONE RATHER THEN HAVING MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET.
