everyone hating on Ian he was a bad friend yeah but he was trying to tell him from the start that what he was doing was wrong and Nikki was clearly not right and needed help

bear knew the wish worked and something was wrong at the beginning of the movie, it shows he was the one completely obsessed and I think felt/knew nikki didn't feel the same and if wish nikki went away he would't be with her

And I felt like Ian had ruined every chance Bear got with Nikki. Especially the first scene where his "cheesy" and "snappy" lines were good and sincere but Ian completely blew it. There were also times where Bear would genuinely do well with talking with Nikki. Ian also blew it by not telling Bear the fact that him and Nikki were hooking up that could've change this
