this is so true if you take your 5 year payment and pay it off in 2 years... if you take the 3 years you did not have a payment put it in saving get interest off it the 3 years of savings... then you can pay cash and sales tax payment on ypu next car.. then take the next 3 to 5 years to save again.. way better cycle.

I’m almost 60 and I have never had a car payment, our house payment, I went to school with this guy named Steve Carbonero. He was a thief, but he told me never spend money that you don’t have, that’s one of the two things I learned in high school, that and I learned how to cook an omelette

Oh Carr-uhhh!! I got this! Lol! I am driving a 2004 Ford Excursion that I got in January 2005. It has 498k + miles on it. We raised 3 girls with it and I can’t find anything else I would rather have! It was a gift from God! Yes, it has costs lots at times to fill up and we have had repairs to make but it was cheaper than a car payment! 😃

We drive a 2017 Kia Soul and it was paid off some years ago. I still love it and between covid and my limited mobility we only have 47,000 miles on it. I WILL drive it til the wheels fall off.

2017 Ram 3500 diesel 6 speed manual, 153k miles here. Paid it off a year early & I will drive it until the wheels fall off 🤣 at this point regardless it’s cheaper to make repairs than it is to go and buy another vehicle.

We have our van paid off and we just got another one on auction and paid cash and it has low miles. Our son also has a permit and we got a cheap truck for him. I have always told him a paid off car is the best car to have.

My husband and I believe that’s for years because he owned a car dealership, but in the last year we have realized that that is a reoccurring payment that we need to get rid of. PS we’ve been in real estate, honoring our own businesses for years and our car payments are astronomical because we lived in that cycle for far too long.

I agree with you my friend. Everytime we are close to paying off a car we will get in an accident and then they total it out . It always seem like we will always have a car payment
