disclaimer: i don’t have diabetes but i do have POTS. large amounts of sugar like this CAN cause insulin spikes and crashes which makes my heart palpitations worsen plus making it more likely for me to pass out just from doing something as simple as standing up. I could normally have a mini dr. pepper and be fine. But this was too large of an amount for me to have it as regular dr. pepper. this one route 44 dr. pepper has about 97 grams of sugar. (which i don’t think even a healthy person should consume) i’ve always been mindful of how much sugar i intake and at what times i can manage my symptoms more easily if i do decide to have large amounts of sugar knowing the consequences i’ll have to pay. 🙃

They sell diet detector strips on Amazon for $8. You get like 40 and you just dip them in your drink and it will tell you if there’s a little sugar, full sugar or no sugar!

sometimes drinks get mixed up, all you have to do is call back in and let them know you got the wrong drink... they should fix it for you, that's how we do it at our sonic

My mother has diabetes and one time when we went out we didn’t realize they gave her a damn regular soda and her sugar was through the roof (luckily we saw soon enough and she was fine) But to any workers who do ts because “a regular is just as bad” or whatever the case Maybe take into consideration that some people physically CANNOT have that much sugar :)

I ordered a Diet dr pepper yesterday and got a full sugar Coke and didn't realize it until after I drove away. I ended up going to a different drive thru and giving it to my husband but I was so upset
