Correct sir. The retirement home here is so beautiful even if one can afford it what about the food they even eat. It’s far from what a typical Nigerian would like to eat for the rest of one’s life😳. To be honest

My friend - I agreed with to you. I spend almost 40 years in us. I did exactly what you are trying to say. I took my retirement 3 years ago. I had two houses in us, and when I took my retirement, I sold one house and built nice house back home in Côte d’Ivoire. My social security is helping living comfortably back home. I have 7 grown and independenr children that I come to visits every thanksgiving and take advantage of my visit to do my yearly medical check up since I took my retirement. Honestly so far so good. I do not envy anybody.

My bro you said it all, am in England from Sierra Leone you just hit the nail on it head. My wife said to me we need to stay in in England for the rest of our life I told her this is not my land, I have to build a house back home we have to go before we get old she was like on as an African man I didn’t listen to her I started my first house now am doing the second one on a sea side which will be my retirement home now she is happy to tel her friends about the good jobs am doing. I go home every year because I have some where to stay when am back home. I take example from my dad when he was sick my sisters didn’t even visited him until he passed away, I know my kids will do the same to me so I will go home and die closer to my family and friends that I will have time to talk to when am on my sick bed. Thanks bro.

You can build a small 2-3 bedroom bungalow that is easy to maintain. Why do people think they must build mansions that cost too much to maintain?

The decision to come back home was easy for me. I’m grudgingly returning to the U.S. for healthcare. Everyone has a choice to make.

You are good man. Am based in Calgary and retired. Agreed with you. Your strategy is right but our people cannot understand numbers. With Solar, Reverse Osmosis, When rail lines is extended to Lekki and extension of rail to airport what are you doing in Calgary. Thanks doctor
