You’re absolutely correct. As a dock worker unloading your trailer, it’s my responsibility to have your seal broken before you back in. I have to make sure the seal number matches the paperwork before I can accept the delivery

Truck driver is correct! Forklift drivers has to verify paper work. Truck number and seal number and carrier.

That’s why fedex has security guards for incoming and outgoing trucks. They cut the seal inside the gate before the driver docks, then they seal outgoing trailers before they leave

OMG I just dealt with this last week with 2 different drivers. I get so angry and start yelling at them. I guess they dont understamd we can check the seal and you open your doors, saves you a trip.

Technically the driver is right, because if the receiver don’t break the seal or at least have it documented that it’s in tact and was verified any shortage is on the driver / company. Not all places the guard checks or nobody comes out to verify that the seal is in tact.

The driver is right, but what I think the guy is saying is that you weren’t supposed to back into the door they usually cut the seal outside, not inside the warehouse.
