Sag Harbor’s downtown is neighborhoody and walkable to many thing. (Some towns in the Hamptons have downtowns on a busy highway or are kind of spread out). Montauk is more of a laid back vibes vs classic vibes. Food: Duryea’s (I recommend taking a boat to the Orient Point location for the views), Salt on Shelter Island via boat for a no frills tucked away restaurant on the water in a cove (you can also take the car ferry), go to some farm stands (Serene Green; there are sooo many), have a glass of wine at Wolffer estate during sunset. Ralph’s Polo bar & then rent a home for a few days in Montauk. They have the best shopping, vineyards, and specialty grocers. Eat and shop your way through the hamptons

Sunset beach for dinner and can also stay a night . Take ferry across and Sag harbor for the day and Le Bilboquet for dinner . If you are more west , then it’s Southampton village : Il Tutto Il Giorno or Sant Ambroeus

Southampton has a great downtown. Montauk is the beachy young vibe and fun. Sag Harbor is nostalgic and laid back.

You would love Sag Harbor for town vibes and walkable things. Definitely try The Lobster Roll (it’s been featured in an HBO show) Gurneys Resort is a classic stay, very classic Hampton’s. The American Hotel Restaurant for dinner one night, so good, also in Sag Harbor. And be sure to pack at least one all white outfit as they always have all white parties in town almost every weekend during summer. Let me know if you need for any more planning tips. I love the Hampton’s and im originally from NY ✨🥰
