Never put a business in a trust… period. There is a one page document that allows the a trust to control the businesses, but never allow the trust to own the businesses. Great way to maximize taxes.

The definition of an LLC is corporate protection from personal assets. The only difference from a regular corporation is its tax personal level. Setting up a business to own an LLC for protection of personal assets makes zero sense.
