@mejulialee: This living room has gone through so many different layouts, and it’s ultimately landed on the one I was completely against 😅 Since we live in a small apartment, I thought making the space feel as open as possible was best. But as my husband started to explore retro gaming… I had to make space for his hobby. We actually never planned to have a TV, but after bringing in the CRT, VCR and all the Disney movies I had growing up, we also started building a VHS collection. So it made sense to just lean into it and make the media unit the centre of the living room. And as soon as the original retro nook area freed up, my husband immediately put an old PC there 😑 Since his game collection is growing, we got these IKEA HOLMERUD side tables to make a little library display. I think it’s safe to say our living room is at max capacity now! We went from open and spacious to cozy and cluttered, but I’m not mad about it. I’ve learned to embrace the cozy clutter because it’s brought so much joy and character to our space, and makes it feel personal to us 💖 #smallapartment #apartmentliving #smallspaceliving #cozyhomedecor #retro
