The way I see it is, no one is perfect and everyone still sins. Sometimes on accident and sometimes on purpose. It’s a work in progress that is not completed on earth. That state of perfection is when you enter heaven. So until then your bound to sin but of course you make it a point to try to avoid it.

Jesus is addressing non-believers in both John 8 and Luke 13. This is why context is so utterly important when declaring what The Gospel states. Also crucially important when talking about the often misunderstood issue of security in Salvation through Christ Jesus.

Jesus clearly defines the "will of the Father" in John 6:40: everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life. 1 John 5:13: "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."
