unfortunately,,, you can never beat physical game ,as it brings the consumer and that special feeling when you buy video game ,, its not going to ever be the same,, digital is never the consumer 1st choice. and if this true then unfortunately alot video gamers will consider other options on the market,,, such shame Sony, very disappointing

Im old we went from getting maps, books, keychains, and much more for buying a game to now getting nothing just a promise they won't shut it down in 2 years if it fails.

I mean that's probably true, its just not worth buying the cds storing them and burning downloads onto them if there isnt a large enough market for them... would be cool if you could specifically order a physical copy... though that would defeat the point of their underlying intentions

The problem with this is that it’s fundamentally different than Steam. The Nintendo/Sony model is basically licensing/renting. The problem with digital is ownership. You only own it as long as they let you.
