Yeah…I’d rather have an old iMac that can run newer macOS or windows with some setting up. But this video gave me an idea of changing the old mechanical drive into a bigger faster ssd… hmm 🤔

This is nuts. It’s like that old Mad Magazine satirical project article about turning your second bathroom into a utility closet. You can buy a better extra monitor for $150-200. It’s no extra work and you still have a computer for Mac, Windows, or Linux. Or you can install any number of apps like Luna Display that’ll turn a Mac into a monitor. 2009-2014 iMacs included Target Display Mode—that is they had a built-in monitor mode.
