lol jade was the only one that was really trying things to get out . He’s a genius & got a lot of knowledge in his brain . The town people keep offin him because the kids keep calling for him so they feel like it’s his fault they are stuck . When he said we gotta pull the bottle tree it’s because he was thinking of ideas to get the bones out & Boyd said they need an escape that’s not thru the tunnels , so jade thought of the tree . The boy in white told VICTOR not to let them pull the tree , he didn’t talk to jade . So I honestly think jade is just a genius not allowing himself to be stuck there . Deff not one of the bad guys

I can see it but the boy in white talked to Sophia at the end saying that jade and Tabitha has the bones this times hinting that they got something that could turn everything around. Meaning jade is actually doing right. I was thinking you were going to say the townsmen turns on jade because the man in yellow manipulates the people to against jade.

Yeah I actually think Tabitha and Jade both might have been the ones who decided to sacrifice the children, but they can’t remember. The MIY confronting Tabitha made me think it even more because he was far to excited to see her, as if she’s someone he made his deal with. Also they hinted in the very beginning that Jade was a villian. Tobey doesn’t mention Jade once before he dies, but somehow Jade appears in the back of his car after Tobey had a similar reaction as the guy with Sophia. When Jade first meets the towns people he comments about how beautiful they all are. When anyone tries to tell him off he says “do you know who I am” and he goes on a long tangent about being “in an escape room”. What’s a movie that starts with a type of escape room where the villian is present the whole time, Saw. Him commenting on everyone’s beauty and saying “do you know who I am” is giving game master. I think the MIY is a redcap fae. Which means I think if he was to make a deal with someone it would end up being a “be careful what you wish for situation”. The monsters being the ones to make the deal never really made sense to me because they don’t really have a punishment, they just cant die. Whereas Tabitha and Jade are trapped in a continuous loop they can’t escape.

I said the same thing on another post. But the way I worded it was a lil different. Basically I said that the MIY and the BIW are the sun and moon, which are complete opposites. We keep getting told that a singular person read the kids a story that gave them hope and the kids poured their hope into the tree. The town counteracts people’s hopes by drawing out their fears as we also have been told. So my theory was that with jade and Tabitha being the 3rd ying and yang, one of them were originally at fault and the other one wasn’t. Jade was the evil one and Tabitha was the one that told the kids the stories that gave them hope. Which is why the BIW appeared to Tabitha instead of jade when previously he appeared to Christopher. What ever the boy and white tells jade’s past reincarnates caused them to die after exposing what he said.
