Both me and my sister have gone through this with both male and female doctors after years I got diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, it took me saying to a doctor that I want it on record that they are not taking my pain and symptoms seriously to get referred finally

This is me with my ibs, 19 years, waited 4.5 years to see a specialist and even with my family history he doesn’t seem to care or want to help at all. It’s horrible

I had to RECORD my grand mal seizures… 😭🙏 I have a 1cm mass in my brain and now damage. Now I over prepare when I need to talk to my neurologist and he’s like oh totally lets get this fixed. 😳😭THANK YOU!!

So many doctors are there for the money. If she sent you to another doctor you wouldn’t be coming back to her $$$. Everyone needs to speak up or find another doctor if you’re not getting answers.

Im so sorry that happened I get that, I got sick a couple years ago (still sick) and I kept getting gaslit, they literally told me every single adult woman goes through this abdominal pain it’s completely normal (I couldn’t move for 3 months straight and stayed in bed the entire time) 😂🤦♀️

This. Excruciating pain. For over a decade. Constantly brushed off by at least 10 different doctors throughout until finally a doctor took me seriously a year ago and I’ve since seen a gynae and have received a diagnosis that explains EVERYTHING.

Honestly the same thing happened to me, fought my doctors for like 12 months for some referrals and eventually they gave in and did and found out I had stage 3 endometrial cancer, I now have a hysterectomy coming up next week and the surgeon told me this could’ve been avoided if it was caught early! It’s disgusting I hope your all good girl

It’s so frustrating when you know something is wrong and the dr won’t listen. I had to fight to get a sleep study because I felt like death and was waking up unable to breathe while asleep. She said I didn’t need one and I was probably just anxious. I pushed and got one. Sleep study showed I have 107 apnea events per hour. You only need 30 per hour to be diagnosed. She was so floored she called me back in to apologise and got me to urgently see an ENT.

I work in healthcare and I still will never understand why some providers act like if they refer a patient out for a specialist they are somehow sabotaging themselves. because I don't understand why there are still so many providers who like to tell patients that things are fine when the patient is asking for more it's not like the provider is the one that has to come out of pocket to provide... they are there so that we can tell them what's going on and if we suggest a certain test I'd never will understand why some providers fight their patients on it like it's literally not going to hurt you for your patient to get a special blood test or go see a specialist for whatever reason.
