Andersen is 36 years old, hasn't played more than 35 games in a season since 2021-22, and his sv% went from .899 two seasons ago to .874 last year. It might work out, but it's far from a sure thing.

yo Freddy's save percentage in the regular season was a 874 and that was behind the best defence in the league so how do you think hes going to to the same for you guys when your a bottom 10 defence

Freddy Anderson is not the oilers answer in goal. He wasn’t good in regular season or the playoffs….he was never challenged till the one game in the Montreal series and then the finals he was horrible and they replaced him.

Anderson is not the answer. carolina limited shots on net by around 50% of what vegas allowed. defence is the key.

The funny thing about Anderson is Bussi also played great and was a waiver goalie while we were trading the farm for Jarry.

Freddy was by no means the Conn smythe pick even before the finals.. I would’ve easily given it to Stankoven or Hall.. Anderson gave up quite a few soft goals throughout each series.. I don’t see him as a major upgrade over Jarry..

I would say B- overall. Getting nurses’ contract was probably the best trade. But you gave up a good defender who had toughness, grit & a bit of offensive talent just his contract didn’t match where currently was with his career. I think Oilers are really gonna miss what he brought them each game. Especially his toughness

See people are complaining that Freddy was bad in that last round BUT SO WAS CARTER HART! Plus Anderson was the reason they got to the finals in the first place and like he said if he didn’t fall off in the finals he probably would’ve been the con smythe winner
