I don't know.... OP sounds like an ass. Not just in this situation but in life. Something feels off about it. There's more to it all. Nobody gets that upset over correcting a kid and making a joke. I also saw the joke and it didn't even seem like one. That's why I feel like OP might be a problem here. Why was it such a big deal to offer condolences again to the nephews? There is so much weird about this.
