Well 160 lead vocals is better than 12 and backing vocals. You also said Mercury wasn't that good on piano, maybe that's correct ... but it begs to ask the question, if Taylor and May were better vocalists, better instrumentals, by your assertions better at everything than Mercury, why was Mercury even in Queen? Why would you want someone who wasn't nearly as good as they others at everything? I mean they weren't stupid people, very highly educated, so why would they even bother with him .... or why didn't they just get another lead singer?

I saw them in concert in 1980. They said all musicians on stage are playing and singing live. But some songs are also enhanced by prerecorded orchestral and background voice track. I found that honesty very refreshing.
