I don’t understand the comments bashing a mom for not immediately doubting her son?? If the mom would immediately be like “Uh no husband wouldn’t do that”, she’d be in the wrong but asking the husband, not even immediately accusing, is terrible??

i mean….i get both sides. I understand OP wanting to believe her son, that’s her child. But I also understand a husband for wanting to leave. Nobody wants to be in that situation, and I support him for walking away

Lowkey not a fan of the husband, teens are dumb and this is a serious discussion and family therapy not a divorce. Husband should understand that a child should always come first and it’s not like she called cps on him??? Ofc we’re clearly missing a lot of info here as this can’t be a one time thing, but jeez man went nuclear AND they have a 10 month old?? Would one really want to stay married to someone like that? Know a lady that’s roommates with her babies dad until the kid is older (she has a higher position in cps and knows what she’s doing and how it will affect the kid- not bc of the financial situation.)

Im curious about if this was the first time because if it was, him immediately divorcing is nuclear especially with a 10 month old knowing teenagers especially a 13 yo are impulsive and doesnt understand the full consequences of their actions yet. I think this should be handled in family therapy and with consequences to the teen. With that said, if it has happened before and this is a pattern of behavior then I understand he has every right to gtfo but just once is weird imo.

I don't normally reply on these but sweet jesus. the situation was all around terrible. she was right to defend and protect her son who she claims has never done this sort of thing before. he was weird for wanting to take 50/50 custody of a still breastfeeding baby.
