I get him wanting to leave, but the mum was absolutely in the right. You protect your kids. The son absolutely needs some therapy too because those kinds of accusations don’t cone from a vacuum. The husband is also being completely unreasonable demanding 50/50 custody of a breastfeeding infant, that just seems vindictive

Married for 5 years. The husband have been there for 5 years and probably disliked the kid for at least 4 years. He decided to make a baby while fully disliking the son. Baby was born and he decided to leave. ??? Dont get me wrong, the son didnt do the right thing. The OP probably could have handled it better, too. But the husband leaving after making a baby despite hating the son is just weird.

The mother is right for wanting to protect her kid, but something is missing. Actually a lot is. This has definitely happened many times before and what gives it away is the husband's initial reaction. I think OP needs to have a conversation with her child about why he's lied instead of trying to paint the husband as a villain.
