They won't reach AGI with all those models, cuz they are LLMs. Artificial General Intelligence (or AGI) would require from an AI to learn. We do not know how to do that yet. Yes, we can teach the model at the start, but then, when the "weights" are done and the model is open it CANNOT use ANY information that was not part of its training data. There are ways to get new information via Google or smth (a feature most models have today) but the model never actually "learns" that data. It is like constantly peeking at a math textbook instead of actually knowing the formulas. If you see someone larp about AGI, just know they are trying to sell you smth.

You can’t achieve AGI simply by improving technology and increasing the number of parameters. You need consciousness, and consciousness comes from another plane of existence, another dimension.
